Professional profile:
Provia has experience in clinical trial management and leadership, having effectively overseen the operations of the Clinical Trials Unit at Infectious Diseases Institute in Uganda that has a portfolio of over 20 trials ranging from Phase II-IV in infectious diseases.
Provia is involved on a project aimed at scaling capacity to conduct clinical trials in East Africa as a Co-Investigator. She is also involved on a project aimed at enhancing the clinical trial capacity of seven African countries under STAIRS consortium.
She aspires to leverage the acquired skills from the fellowship to advance Africa’s ability to conduct complex clinical trials.
