The AFRIKA KOMMT! program is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the partner companies.
I have joined the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in 2009 and hold an MA degree in Political Science. After studying, I conducted the German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS) Postgraduate Program on international cooperation. At GIZ, I have recently headed projects on International Climate Finance in Bonn and served as Project Manager for strategic marketing in Frankfurt am Main and Kiev.
I have grown up in Southern and Eastern Africa and feel truly connected to the region. I strive to steer AFRIKA KOMMT! sustainably through a dynamic and volatile environment.

‘Africa is rising’ for me goes beyond being just a maxim or popular rhetoric – I have seen it, I have lived it and I am IT. This is why I am passionate about raising up young African change makers through AFRIKA KOMMT!
When not at work, you will likely find me on my bike cycling to an unknown destination or with a backpack, on a train or plane, on the way to exploring a distant new land!
Having just completed my bachelor’s degree, I’m excited to put my knowledge into practice at AFRIKA KOMMT!. I love traveling and intercultural exchange– and with this internship, I don’t even have to leave the office for that! It’s an exciting opportunity to take on diverse tasks, learn a lot, and contribute my ideas with plenty of space for initiative.
The concept of AFRIKA KOMMT! has deeply impressed me from the very first moment. Now that I am part of it, I will do all I can to maximize the positive impact that the fellows have on their home countries and on the relationship between Germany and the African continent.
I spend all my free time with my little family, discovering the nature around Bonn on our bikes and live the small adventures. Apart from that, my passion is meeting people from all over the world and learn from their perspective.
Getting to know people and connecting them with each other excites me – and the great feeling when ideas, courage and change come out of that. That’s also where my joy in communication and networking comes from. Especially here at AFRIKA KOMMT!
When not fully absorbed in detailed concept writing, personal meetings and exchange make me really passionate about my daily work. AFRIKA KOMMT!, it’s a pleasure to be a part of you!
